Termite Season is upon us

It's that season here on Long Island: Termite season! Their amassing season commonly starts in late March and early April and can last through May or early June. The underground termites will swarm commonly during the late morning when it's warm, and normally following precipitation.

In spite of the fact that termites are active all year, they are less active throughout the colder time of year and late spring a long time as they won't hunt for food when the dirt is excessively hot or excessively cold. Here on Long Island, our spring season is the ideal season for termite movement. Tragically, not all property holders realize that they need to shield themselves from infestation. Actually, the question isn't if you will get termites, it's when will you get them. It is during this season that termites will start to swarm, which is the clearest sign that you have a termite issue.

Indications Of Termite Infestation:

Damaged Wood-
This might be hard to identify toward the start of an infestation since termites normally devour wood from the back to front. Wood that sounds "empty" ought to be examined for termite damage.

Mud Tubes-
These are not difficult to spot as they look precisely like what their name is: container of mud. They can be found on dividers within or outside of your home or some other wood structure. The mud cylinders can be round or level and for the most part, estimates 1/4″ or more extensive.
